Shanghai Seizes 500,000 Yuan of IPR-Violating Goods
Publish Time:2005-5-17 15:51:58
Shanghai Customs recently seized 500,000 yuan worth of goods that are simultaneously involved in the violation of the intellectual property rights (IPR) of four domestic companies.

Shanghai Customs has to date uncovered 84 IPR-violating cases this year involving 30 million yuan.

When a company from mid-west China's Shaanxi province was declaring goods for export to an African nation, customs found that the goods, mostly hardware like locks, used trademarks belonging solely to four companies in Shanghai and Shandong.

The case is under further investigation.
